Coca-Cola FEMSA – the largest bottler of Coca-Cola products in the world
Preventive maintenance ensures optimum uptime on a predictable budget

The project

Coca-Cola FEMSA operates throughout Latin America and the Philippines. Its Maringá site is one of 11 plants, which serve 48% of the Brazilian territory, and 43% of the country's population.

This is the first soft drink producer in Brazil to obtain LEED sustainability certification, which stands for constant innovation, effective performance, and sustainable growth. In this plant, Danfoss drives are crucial elements in controlling the speed of conveyors.

The solution

Optimal uptime is essential, enabling this high-performance plant to maintain its competitive lead. And therefore, the factory outsources its preventive maintenance work to expert technicians trained by Danfoss Drives. Since 2012, DrivePro® services have ensured maximum uptime on these Danfoss drives installations at Maringá. This approach follows a predefined service plan aimed at reducing the risk of failure or early degradation of drives equipment.

The DrivePro® Services Program ensures us reliability and availability of our line. From a simple equipment installation check to a complete analysis, evaluating whether a change or replacement is necessary, it helps us anticipate a failure or an equipment breakdown. The partnership with our suppliers is fundamental to the pursuit of operational excellence. The presence of a local partner gives us greater peace of mind, knowing that at any time of the day or night, when we need it, we can count on them.

Anderson Ponchak de Alvarenga, Maintenance Supervisor, Coca-Cola FEMSA

The result

The bottling plant prevents unexpected issues arising by systematically ensuring the optimal condition of its drives. And these services are delivered via seamless on-site collaboration with the service partner, on site 24/7 – based on a stable and predictable maintenance budget. For these reasons, DrivePro® life cycle services provide valuable support to the Maringá factory in delivering the 1 million liters of Coca Cola it produces every day in a totally sustainable way.
